The rules for using Bleep and sharing with other people.
1. About these terms
These terms cover your use of the Bleep app and bleep.talk. The operator below provides Bleep. The Privacy Policy explains how personal data is processed.
Maurice Scheffmacher, operating Bleep as an individual hello@bleep.talk
The app-store terms that apply to your download also continue to apply. These terms do not remove mandatory consumer or data-protection rights.
2. Who can use Bleep
You must be at least 16 and meet any higher minimum age that applies where you live. If you cannot enter this agreement on your own, a parent or guardian must agree where the law permits this.
Provide accurate information when needed to operate or secure your account. Do not impersonate another person. Keep access to your device and passkeys secure. Losing access to your passkeys can prevent you from signing in; account recovery is not currently available.
3. Using the service
Bleep lets people exchange Bleeps, share text and photos, and talk live. Features depend on compatible devices, connectivity, permissions, and service availability. Network and carrier charges may apply.
Bleep is not an emergency service. It does not replace your telephone’s emergency-calling functions. Do not rely on it for urgent or life-critical communication.
Early-access features can change, fail, or become unavailable. We do not promise uninterrupted delivery or permanent storage. These limits do not exclude rights or remedies that the law requires.
4. Respect other people
You must not use Bleep to:
Harass, threaten, stalk, bully, discriminate against, or exploit another person.
Create, request, possess, or share child sexual abuse material, groom a child, or facilitate child sexual abuse or exploitation.
Share pornography, graphic violence, non-consensual intimate content, or content that promotes violence or illegal activity.
Share another person’s private information without permission, impersonate someone, defraud people, or send spam.
Violate copyright, privacy, publicity, or other rights. Obtain any consent that the law requires before recording or sharing a conversation.
Compromise accounts, bypass security or access restrictions, distribute malware, or disrupt the service. This does not restrict activities protected by applicable law.
Contact the operator listed above to report abuse, unlawful content, or a safety concern. Include only the information needed to identify the concern. Do not forward illegal child sexual abuse material. Contact local emergency services when someone faces immediate danger.
5. Your content
You retain the rights you have in your content. You give the operator a non-exclusive permission to host, process, copy, transform for display or delivery, and transmit that content only as needed to operate Bleep and handle safety or legal obligations. This includes the service providers needed for those purposes.
You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to share content. This permission does not transfer ownership of your content or authorize its use in unrelated advertising. It ends when the relevant content is deleted, except for copies lawfully retained for security, legal obligations, or backup handling described in the Privacy Policy.
Other people can save what you share. Bleep cannot recall copies that recipients hold outside the service.
6. Generated avatars
If you use avatar generation, your motifs and derived prompts are processed by an AI provider as described in the Privacy Policy. Generated images can be inaccurate, offensive, or similar to other images. Check the result before using it. Do not request content that violates these terms or claim that an image proves a real person’s identity or endorsement.
We do not guarantee that generated output is unique or eligible for intellectual-property protection. Uploading your own image is a separate option.
7. Restrictions and account closure
We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or close an account when reasonably necessary to address a breach of these terms, protect people or the service, or comply with law. We will provide a reason and an opportunity to contact us about the decision when appropriate and legally permitted. Urgent safety or security action may occur first.
You can stop using Bleep at any time. Signing out or uninstalling the app does not delete your account. Contact the operator to request account closure or deletion of personal data. The current app does not yet include an in-app deletion flow.
8. Responsibilities and legal rights
We take reasonable care in providing Bleep. You remain responsible for how you use the service and what you share. We cannot control recipients’ conduct or guarantee that networks, devices, or external providers will always work.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable responsibility for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, or death or personal injury. Mandatory consumer protections and statutory remedies remain available.
If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. Contact the operator first if you have a dispute. These terms do not require binding arbitration or waive your right to bring a claim before a competent court.
9. Changes and contact
We may update these terms as Bleep changes. We will publish the updated terms with a date and provide notice or request agreement when required. Changes will not retroactively remove accrued rights. If you do not agree with a material change, you can stop using Bleep and request account closure.
Use the operator’s contact details above for service questions, safety reports, privacy requests, or questions about these terms.
